    Optimize Your LinkedIn Profile for Real Estate

    Before automating, ensure your profile is professional: high-quality headshot, compelling headline ('Commercial Real Estate Broker | Helping Investors Find Cash-Flowing Assets in Austin'), detailed About section, featured content (recent listings, market reports), and recommendations from clients. Strong profiles convert connection requests and profile views into conversations.

    Use keywords in your headline and About section that prospects search for: 'commercial real estate', 'industrial broker', '[city] investment properties'. LinkedIn search ranks profiles by keyword relevance.

    Create LinkedIn Developer App

    Go to linkedin.com/developers and create a new app. Fill in app details: name ('Real Estate Automation'), description, logo. Under 'Products', add 'Share on LinkedIn' and 'Sign In with LinkedIn'. This app generates API credentials for n8n access.

    You need to create a LinkedIn Company Page before creating an app (required by LinkedIn). If you don't have one, create a basic Company Page for your brokerage or personal brand first.

    Generate OAuth 2.0 Access Token

    In your LinkedIn app, go to Auth tab. Copy Client ID and Client Secret. Use LinkedIn's OAuth 2.0 flow (or n8n's OAuth2 helper) to generate an access token with scopes: 'w_member_social' (post publishing), 'r_liteprofile' (read profile), 'r_emailaddress'. Token expires in 60 days by default—set up refresh token flow or regenerate manually.

    LinkedIn's OAuth flow is more complex than Facebook's. Use n8n's built-in OAuth2 credential helper which automates the authorization flow. Alternatively, use PhantomBuster or similar services that maintain LinkedIn sessions.

    Connect LinkedIn to n8n

    In n8n, add a LinkedIn node to a workflow. Click 'Create New Credentials', select 'OAuth2', paste Client ID and Client Secret, authorize with LinkedIn. Test connection by adding a 'Get Profile Info' node and executing—it should return your profile details.

    Save credentials as 'LinkedIn - Production'. If token expires, you'll need to re-authorize. For long-term automation, consider using LinkedIn API wrappers or services that handle token refresh automatically.

    Set Up Company Page (Optional but Recommended)

    Create a LinkedIn Company Page for your brokerage at linkedin.com/company/setup. Add logo, banner image, description, website URL. Invite team members to be admins. Company Page posts reach broader audiences and build brand credibility beyond your personal profile.

    Post commercial listings to Company Page, then share those posts to your personal profile. This double-dips: Company Page followers see it natively, your personal network sees your share. Plus, it builds the Company Page presence over time.

    LinkedIn favors 'native' content—avoid excessive external links (they suppress reach). Instead of linking to your website in every post, share insights in the post itself and say 'DM me for full details.' This keeps users on LinkedIn and boosts engagement.
